With over 15 years of experience, Michael H. Wussow focuses his practice on civil litigation, commercial transactions, liquor licensing and personal injury.

Mike has represented both individuals and companies in a wide variety of lawsuits, including breach of contract, fraud, landlord/tenant disputes, bad faith denial of insurance coverage, personal injury, construction defect and misappropriation of trade secrets. Mike has handled disputes in mediation, arbitration, various Colorado District Courts and the United States District Court in Colorado.

Mike has broad experience helping companies with a variety of transactional legal issues from inception to dissolution. He has guided clients with respect to entity formation, entity structure and investment transactions. Mike has frequently represented clients in real estate transactions, including commercial leases, real estate purchase and sale, and real estate financing. Finally, Mike has substantial experience in the purchase and sale of companies, including asset purchase, stock purchase and membership interest purchase transactions.

Mike represents a number of restaurants, bars and coffee shops in connection with various legal needs, including liquor license matters, lease review and negotiation, company organization, investment transactions, and sale. Having been a part owner of a Boulder restaurant, Mike has a unique understanding of the challenges in this industry.

Mike graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1996. While in law school, he was a member of the Senior Editorial Board for the Wisconsin Law Review. After law school, Mike served as law clerk to Justice Jon P. Wilcox on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He has also practiced with Sidley & Austin in Chicago and with Foley & Lardner in Madison, Wisconsin. After moving to Boulder in 2001, Mike served as law clerk to Chief Judge Roxanne Bailin at the Boulder County District Trial Court. Mike is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Wisconsin and Illinois.

Mike moved to Boulder to be near the mountains, and in his free time, he enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and photography.
Whenever they get the chance, Mike and his wife Alina like to travel to new places and experience other cultures. In recent years, Mike has traveled to places like China, Croatia, Cuba, Egypt, Jordan, Mexico, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Tibet and Tanzania. When in Boulder, Mike and Alina can often be found patronizing the many great restaurants in town with friends.
